PSA videos

Here are the links to my two choices of PSA videos:

The first PSA video I watched on obesity was called "Shocking Anti-Obesity PSA Sparks Debate called Fat Shaming".  I really liked the video, I thought it got the message across very clearly.  I liked how the video started off with a bad situation and slowly worked its way backwards through the many problems that should have been taken care to avoid the bad predicament. The video gave me chills and made me very aware of the fact that I do not want anyone I know nor myself to end up laying in the hospital bed like the man.

The second video I saw was called "America is Obese".  This video left an uncomfortable lingering feeling in my gut.  I I liked the fact that the video gave me this feeling, because this is exactly what was suppose to happen.  I was aware of the message the video was trying to get across.  The video, in my opinion was not as good as the first one but was still a good representation of what obesity was.  The video was both great in the fact that it kept my attention and it got the idea across.

Entry 1 multimedia Capstone+

1. My Capstone Project faces the problem of Childhood Obesity.
a. The goals of my capstone is to decrease the obesity rate in America, by making children more active and healthy.
    b. Decreasing the obesity rate in America is important because if we do not take care of it, the rate of preventable deaths will increase.
    c. I want to own my own martial arts studio, which requires a person to be not only physically active but also in shape healthy wise.  Being active and healthy relates to my capstone by being the objective of the message I am trying to spread.
   d.  My project gives back to society by helping prevent "preventable deaths", as well as help increase activity and healthy life choices in America.

The yearbook theme

My theme for yearbook was "Diversity is Beauty".  My first option did not go well with diversity so I explored more options and found this beautiful image for diversity.  Looking at the image the thought that multiple different places can be beautiful even if they are not the same was amazing. This definitely made me think that  "Diversity is Beauty".  the ground, sun, skies, and so on are not the same...this shows that difference are beautiful.

Typography

I used the word "nature".  My first word choice was actually imaginative, but looking through so many landscape and beautiful scenery pictures I decided to change to the word nature.  To create this template I put together pictures of different plants.  I wanted the picture to stick out and take on their own little twist to the idea of nature so I put filters on each of the plants.  By doing this to the plants it shows that nature can be seen in many different lights.  I am glad I changed my word and took a twist with my picture of nature.

Yearbook Design

I wanted to design my year book to be simple yet appealing.  I used the school colors to design mostly everything on the year book. I did, however; want to add black to make the year book look a little elegant.  I created the year book with these colors because I thought that the black made the green and purple pop.  I also added the color yellow because the lightening in the mascots hand is the same color.
Though the year book make not look complex, I did put a lot of time into it.  I wanted the year book to have a 3-D effect, so it draw the eyes.  The year book design is nice and not over powering which is what i like to see.

Template review

1.  name: State and Reviews
colors: Pink, light blue, blue, white, lime green, yellow, orange, purple-pink.
three reasons: a) I chose this template because of its colors.  I like the colors, which is important because if you don't like your colors you may not like the end product.
                           b) I also like the setup of the template. The template is easy to understand, which is nice.
                           c)  I like the use of the unique graphs.  They have unique shapes, rather then the generic rectangle and circle.

2. name: Vintage

three reasons: a)  I like the simple color theme.  It isn't overbearing and hard to get past.
                          b)  I also like the setup of this template.  The template is long and looks as though it is setup step by step.
                          c)  I also enjoy the fact that this template allows you to use a template at the top of it.

3. name: To-gather
colors: white, black, pink, light pink, green.
three reasons:  a)  I like the fact that instantly, the idea of how I would use this template pops into my head.
                            b) The templates setup is also very useful, because not only does it draw the eyes but it is also easy to interpret.
                            c) The template is also appealing in the way it all fits together.  Like the title says, the template does seem to make it seem as though everyone can stick together.
